Bluejays Soar in Basketball

Okay so I was reading about the Trailways South all-conference boys basketball voting, and I saw that Johnson Creek had four athletes honored - which is, like, a big deal (I think, I'm not exactly a sports expert or anything).

So, apparently, the voting was held recently, and I'm trying to find more info on it, but it's all behind a paywall (because, of course, it is). I mean, I get it, content creators gotta get paid, but it's frustrating when you just want to know what's going on in your local community, you know?

Anyway, I did manage to find out that the four athletes from Johnson Creek were honored, and I'm like, super happy for them (even though I have no idea who they are or what they're about). It's always cool to see people from your area doing well, and I'm sure their families and friends are, like, totally stoked.

What We Know So Far

Here's what I was able to scrounge up: Johnson Creek had four athletes honored, but I don't know their names or what positions they play (sorry, sports fans). I'm sure it's all very exciting, and if you're into that sort of thing, you can probably find more info online (if you're willing to pay for it, that is).

More on the Trailways South Conference

So, the Trailways South conference is, like, a thing, and it's got several teams in it (obviously). I'm not really sure how it all works, but I'm sure it's very competitive and stuff. If you're into high school sports, you might want to check it out (if you can find any free info on it, that is).

I swear, sometimes I feel like I'm just, like, barely scratching the surface of what's going on in my own community. But hey, at least I'm trying, right? (And Mittens, my cat, just walked across my keyboard, so sorry if there are any typos).

✨ Let's Talk:

What do you think about paid content models for local news and sports - do you think it's fair to charge people for info, or should it be free?
